My Evs in PrestonOnce upon a time when a Hungarian girl arrived at Manchester Airport....anettnagy.myevs.net
before going homeOn 22 of December the girls had already flew to celebrate the Christmas somewhere else and as I decided not to spend the weekend alone I invited Kara and Phil for dinner.
The plan was to have a night out with them to explore Preston’s best places but finally we didn’t have any intention of going out after dinner so we ended up having a house party.
Nice music and conversation for hours, delicious wine, interesting Christmas Market the day after…
I was invited to Manchester to the celebration of the Chinese New Year. I can’t wait....
Christmas Party- Manchester
Christmas party….it was absolutely perfect even if we didn’t play footbal. We met Pete, our ‘Shiny Pant’ Boss , Steve still the Big Boss and Ryan, he is still a New Age Guy...in Manchester in a coffee near the Christmas Market, of course everyone forgot to take camera…it's OK …it’s just the biggest party of the year and taking picture is just one part of our activity ;)…so the quality of the pictures might not be the best. We went to the new office of CSV Manchester spent some time chatting, had some snack. We had our Christmas dinner in a Turkish-Italian restaurant. Finally sooner or later, everyone arrived at the Hostel where we spent the night. "....guys don't make trouble, don't shout, don't fall down and behave yourself...." (Kara, Manchester office)
IAVM Conference- BlackpoolI worked with Gamze In a CSV IAVM conference on taking pictures. It was very interesting we learnt a lot from the international team of trainers. Sometimes I forgot to take pictures because of concentrating on the presentations. Free time after lunch, ice cream on the beach, sightseeing, shopping…It was a nice day. Turkey-Walking with white cane
To be totally honest we applied (I think I can say we...)for the training course more in hope to be able to travel to Turkey (our Gamze’s country) and have fun and get new experiences than expectation to get to know about short term EVS or to be able to gain new skills such as Use of English or Developing Intercultural Awareness….they sounded too serious….It was the beginning…now after finishing the training I can’t find words to describe the skills we gained and without being to sentimentall we gained much more skills than Use of English or Developing Intercultural Awareness. In my opinion the training was ok but the thing that added emotions to the training was the TEAM, which made us think and look things in a different way. I really tried to write about my new friends from the training, but now I am in that very rare situation (I think once happened since that time) when my limits are not my English….I am not able to write about how gorgeous they are because it wouldn’t be worthy of them. I found these five days were showing not only the situation of young blind people in different countries but my emotions rather then theirs.
One thing is for sure- next time representing CSV TEN in an International Training I’ll do it from a totally different perspective. "life can be as fair as you want to be..." | LinksMyEVS albumCategoriesWho's nearby?
